Up from the grave He arose, With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

What a sight it must have been for all who saw the Risen Jesus after he arose from the dead! For the world, the cross was used by the Romans as a tool of punishment. But God saw something different. He saw the cross as where the world will be set free from the power of sin and death. We now have the privilege of being children of God! In Colossians 1:18, the Apostle Paul refers to Jesus as the firstborn to portray him, exalted and lifted up, as the representative for all people. He is exalted and raised on high as He now lives on the right hand of God, interceding for us and preparing a place for us.

What does it mean to worship a Risen Jesus who is alive and with us today? It means real-time direct relationship with Him! No need to go through priests or rituals. All we need is prayer, the Holy Spirit and willing hearts and minds to speak to Jesus and hear Him when he speaks to us. Jesus being the living Head of the Church can be trusted to provide us real-time wisdom and discernment on to how we live our lives. How amazing that this Creator, who created all this nature and life around us, is the one showing us the way!

Jesus is the beginning. By Him all things were created. Let us never lose sight of this beauty – the Creator of the world came to have a personal relationship with us, knowing our every hair and understanding our every issue. We sometimes get frustrated in life, forgetting that Jesus knows and went through everything we are now going through (Heb. 2:18). We should simply cast our cares onto Him (1 Pet. 5:7).

How do we respond to our real-time Jesus? We make our Pre-eminent Jesus supreme in our lives. Our priorities and attitudes must reflect this. We must not be caught straddling in the middle, trying to please both Jesus and the world (Matt. 6:24). We must live our lives believing in our Risen Pre-eminent real time Jesus and our lives will change to the glory of God
